It was adequate, with better touches. Staff were lovely.
The aged grandeur, the location, the lift!
The mould and peeling wall paper in the corner of the room. The condensation on the windows was off the scale, couldn’t see out. There were places that were definitely in need of updating. A new carpet in the lift maybe.

Old Ship stands out for its name. Squeaky floors and winding corridors. It’s a Brighton classic in best location. Have stayed there few times over the past 20 years

Budget price and great location but don't expect too much
It was a great location, and some of the staff were lovely. It was cheap too.
The hotel and bar were very cold to sit in, but the rooms were warm. The breakfast was not great, not the freshest. Roasted tomatoes were just pulled from a can.. Some of the staff we not the friendliest.

Very Good
History of the hotel and that it has retained character. Was shown the Assembly (Ballroom) by a very nice staff member. Staff were friendly, helpful and went out of the way to assist.
Getting in & out of the bath tub for showers is not awesome. A little bar fridge would have been good.
